The objective of this poster was to find a designer from the past and a contemporary designer that shared similarities. Approaching this I went in knowing Barney Bubbles had primarily worked on album covers, so I began looking at contemporary punk album covers that I liked. Kevin McCaughey was the clear choice once more research was completed. 

The poster focuses on ideas of anonymity, appropriation and the amount of research each designer puts into their works. There was a line through their work directly through their designs for the band Devo.

The poster then folds down into a 6” x 9” zine that explores the designers’ other works and how it relates to the topics of anonymity, appropriation and research.
